Doris grew up immersed in the vibrant flavors and traditions of her island's cuisine. Her love for cooking began in her Mother’s kitchen, where she learned the art of blending bold spices and fresh ingredients to create authentic Puerto Rican dishes. Doris's culinary journey took off with a humble yet wildly successful food truck that became a local favorite, serving classics  like mofongo, arroz con gandules, and roasted pork.

After years of hard work and countless happy customers, Doris decided to embark on her dream of opening her own restaurant -- a dream she and her mom both shared. Unfortunately, as they begun the journey to make that dream a reality, Doris's Mom suddenly passed away. Doris, more determined than ever to fulfill their dream, persevered and opened Puerto Rican Spice — a place where the warmth of Puerto Rican hospitality meets the rich flavors of its cuisine. Here, every dish is crafted with a Mother's love and tradition, inviting you to experience the soul of Puerto Rico one bite at a time.
